About Us
We both worked in care for over 25 years and when our jobs were under threat of redundancy, we took this opportunity to set up our own community interest company (CIC), Vicky's Respite.
We believe in being open and transparent, which means that carers and parents can call in on us at any time.

What we do
At Vicky's Respite, we provide a safe and stable environment where each individual is given every opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential. We promote independence and social inclusion through a person-centred approach and help to keep people engaged with their local community.
Sessions are held in Biddulph and the Butt Lane area.

Please take note that all our sessions are subject to change throughout the year and any changes in sessions will be notified.
Social Time
From 9am until 10am at Vicky’s Respite we have ‘Social Time’. During this hour Service users catch up with friends and or meet new friends. Tea and Toast is available.
Craft Club
Craft club is based at Congleton road community centre. A wide range of craft is available during this two-hour session such as; Knitting, Painting, Art work, Sewing, Glass painting, and many others. £4 is payable by each service user.
Film Club
Film club is based at ‘The Zone’. A wide variety of Films are shown week to week from old classics to brand new films being seen in the cinemas. Tea and biscuits are available. £1 is payable by each service user.
Sports Club
Sports sessions are based at ‘The Zone’. During this hour session, there are a variety of things to do. Indoor cricket, Indoor rounders, Basketball, Bowls, badminton and team building games. £2 payable by each service user.
Dance with Denise
Dancing with Denise is based at Congleton road community centre. Denise choreographs dance routines with service users each week building up to our ‘Show’ which is then performed to parents/guardians of our service users and is enjoyed very much! £5 payable by each service user.
Music and movement
Music and movement is based at Congleton road community centre and is also a session with our dance teacher Denise. Service users incorporate instruments with music learning different beats and sounds. £4 payable by each service user.
Varied sessions
During a varied session, we will discuss with service users and decide as a group what to do with this time, this could be anything from shopping in the community to knitting!
Day Trips
Day Trips are organised throughout the year, we enjoy our yearly trip especially to Blackpool to see the illuminations!
